Meet Jan
Cousnsellor / Therapist MSc MBACP
Hello, I’m Jan. I offer warm, compassionate psychotherapy and counselling for adults who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or navigating difficult life experiences.
I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard. My approach is person-centred and integrative, meaning our work together is tailored to your individual needs, experiences, and pace.
I have experience supporting people through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, stress, burnout, grief and loss, addiction and recovery, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma, neurodivergence, and life transitions.
Alongside my professional training and clinical experience, I also bring real-life understanding and compassion to my work. As a parent with lived experience of neurodivergence in my family, I understand both the challenges and strengths this can bring. My aim is to offer support that feels collaborative, grounded, and genuinely understanding.
I hold an MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. I am a registered member of the BACP (MBACP) and NCPS (MNCPS Acc.), and I continue to undertake professional development in areas including trauma, bereavement, addiction recovery, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and pregnancy and infant loss support.
I offer therapy in Chester, North Wales, online, and through Walk & Talk sessions in nature, giving you flexibility to choose the environment where you feel most comfortable. Sessions are available in both English and Welsh.
Whether you prefer the comfort of online therapy, the privacy of a therapy room, or the grounding benefits of being outdoors, my aim is to help you feel supported and empowered to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you do not have to do it alone. I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation so we can explore whether working together feels right for you.
